Publication Process

The Xpertno International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (XIJIR) follows a transparent, rigorous, and author-friendly publication process. Below is a step-by-step breakdown of our workflow:

 

1. Manuscript Submission

  • Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s official online submission system.

  • During submission, authors must:

    • Provide all required metadata (title, keywords, abstract, author details) separately.

    • Ensure the main manuscript file is anonymized to uphold our double-blind review standards.

  • Each submission is assigned a unique manuscript ID for tracking throughout the process.

 

2. Peer Review Process

  • Our review is conducted in three structured phases to ensure fairness, subject alignment, and publication quality.

  • The journal follows a double-blind peer review model, meaning:

    • Reviewers do not know the authors’ identities.

    • Authors do not know the reviewers’ identities.

3. Estimated Timeline

  • The complete peer-review and publication process typically takes 25–40 business days (approximately 5–8 weeks).

  • This includes:

    • Editorial screening

    • Reviewer selection & evaluation

    • Author revisions (if applicable)

    • Final editorial approval

    • Copyediting, layout, and publication

 

4. Reviewer Selection

  • Reviewers are carefully selected based on expertise, impartiality, and professional standing.

  • Each manuscript is typically reviewed by two senior experts and one early-career researcher.

5. Feedback to the Author

  • Once peer review is complete:

    • A consolidated reviewer report is compiled and anonymized.

    • This feedback is shared with the author(s) along with the initial editorial decision (accept, minor/major revision, or reject).

  • Authors receiving revision requests are given a reasonable deadline to revise and resubmit their manuscript.

 

6. Revision & Re-Review

  • Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated based on reviewer and editor feedback.

  • Re-review may involve:

    • The original reviewers, or

    • Direct evaluation by the handling editor, depending on revision depth.

  • Multiple revision rounds may occur until the manuscript satisfies the journal’s scholarly standards.

 

7. Final Decision

  • Once all requirements are met:

    • The handling editor recommends acceptance.

    • The editorial office performs a final quality check, verifying adherence to all formatting and ethical standards.

  • A final acceptance email is then sent to the author(s).

 

8. Proofreading, Layout & Publication

  • Accepted manuscripts undergo:

    • Layout formatting

    • Assignment to an appropriate journal section (e.g., research articles, short communications, reviews, theses, books, etc.)

  • Once approved, the article is published online and indexed accordingly.

 

There are no publication fees or hidden charges at any stage.
